General Society Scholarship Program:
The General Society of Mayflower Descendants (GSMD) Scholarship Program is offering scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are Mayflower descendants and will be attending a four-year college or university or two-year community college. In the spirit of the Mayflower settlers seeking to better themselves by moving to a new and uncharted world, special consideration will be given to applicants who have demonstrated a commitment to bettering themselves.
Minnesota Society Scholarship Program:
The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Minnesota has created a $500 annual scholarship to benefit deserving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of (SMDMN) seeking a higher education.
The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Minnesota encourages all graduating high school seniors who are related to a member of our Society to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship, which is a one-time award of $500.
To be eligible, an applicant must meet the following requirements:

Applicant must be a current member of the Minnesota Society or have a parent or a grandparent who is a current member.

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior.

Applicant must enroll on a full time basis in any two or four year post-graduate education program.

The Scholarship Application Deadline is May 1, 2023 with the recipient being announced by June 1, 2023
